Lara’s live broadcast proved chaotic, as no topic was off limits. She surprised EYEKONs by even checking out some shocking KATSEYE fanfiction.

Yet, some of the viewers’ questions and Lara’s responses really raised eyebrows.

A viewer commented that they are trying to “Lunch” by Billie Eilish with their best friend. However, the viewer does not know if their friend is also queer. For context, “lesbian anthem” “Lunch” is one of Billie Eilish’s most explicitly queer songs. It famously includes the lyrics, “I could eat that girl for lunch. Yeah, she dances on my tongue,” cheekily meaning that Billie’s infatuation with another girl drives her to want to pleasure her orally.

Billie Eilish has just opened up about her new song “Lunch”, which fans are already calling a “lesbian anthem”. Speaking to ALT 98.7 FM, Billie revealed she was “nervous” about releasing the song, which includes lyrics like “I could eat that girl for lunch – yeah she dances on my tongue”. “It kinda took a second because we wrote the chorus of that song in October and that’s all we had and I was like this is pretty tight”. Billie also spoke about people’s reaction to the explicit lyrics and how long it took to actually finish the song. “I remember playing it for someone and they were like “woah is that what you’re working on right now?” “And we didn’t finish it until I wanna say fall last year so like a year later”. “Lunch” is the second track on Billie’s new album “Hit Me Hard and Song which released on Friday 17th May. Speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this month, Billie said the sapphic song “helped her embrace her sexuality”. She said: “That song was actually part of what helped me become who I am, to be real. I wrote some of it before even doing anything with a girl, and then wrote the rest after.” #billieeilish #hmhas #lunch #sapphic #sexuality #lgbtq

Lara read the viewer’s dilemma out loud, explaining, “That’s definitely really awkward … I can’t say I’ve been in that situation, honestly.” Despite claiming not to be able to relate, Lara gave heartfelt advice, saying, “You have to think about is the friendship more important to you.”

Maybe here’s what you should do. You should sculpt out the situation and sculpt out if she’s, you know, [queer] or if she’s like questioning … you just have to see what’s more important. …Because you have to understand if you put yourself out there and say, ‘Hey, I’m trying to ‘Lunch’ by Billie Eilish with you, you might lose that friendship so you have to be okay with that.

Lara’s unfiltered advice shook many EYEKONs. They couldn’t help but wonder if her media training had been thrown out the window.

On the other hand, many queer EYEKONs were encouraged by Lara openly speaking on LGBTQIA+ topics. In the same live broadcast, she advised an outed fan. Read more below.
