KBS Announces They Will Air Upcoming K-Drama “Imitation” To Fill The Vacant Time Which Was For “Dear. M”
Earlier this month, it was announced that the new drama Dear. M‘s first broadcast had been postponed indefinitely due to actress Park Hye Su‘s recent bullying allegations.
The show was meant to start broadcasting in late February. Even though her agency denied the allegations, after a large amount of public criticism, the network decided to halt the release and clear the schedule.
KBS has now announced that they have decided to air their new show Imitation in its place, which is a drama series based on the webtoon with the same name.
A person in the drama industry spoke to Ilgan Sports and explained the reasons behind the decision.
They said, “We decided that it’d be unreasonable to air KBS 2TV’s Dear. M immediately. So we decided to air a substitute program for a couple of weeks before airing Imitation early. It was set to premiere in late May, but it will meet viewers earlier than planned.”
The line-up was announced last October and included some big names.
Alongside Jeong Ji So and Park Ji Yeon, the series also sees some big names from the K-Pop world, including U-Kiss‘s Lee Jun Young, ATEEZ‘s Yunho, and SF9‘s Chani in leading roles. There are also appearances from ATEEZ’s Jongho, San, and Seonghwa alongside SF9’s Hwiyoung.
With all these huge names, fans can look forward to this series when it hopefully starts airing soon!
