KBS Reveals Sexual Exploitation Case Similar to That of the Infamous “Nth Room” Sex Abuse Case
KBS recently reported on a sexual exploitation case of a middle school student that was compared to the infamous “Nth Room” sex abuse case.
According to the report, the victim, Ms. A, who was a middle school student at the time, made a friend on social media who claimed to be her “unnie” (older friend).
But as soon as they became close, the “friend” claimed that she needed money for surgery and asked Ms. A for explicit videos.
Ms. A ended up giving in and sent her “friend” the video she wanted.
But the requests didn’t’ end there and soon involved her little sister and mother as well.
Feed your mom and sister sleeping medicine and send me videos of them. If you chicken out, I’ll hurt your family.
– “Friend”
Ms. A refused to commit such acts to her mother and sister and sent the “friend” more videos of herself instead.
This exploitation continued for a year, ultimately leading Ms. A to attempt self-harm.
That’s when her parents found out of what was happening, and the culprit was arrested last November.
The “friend” turned out to be an 18-year-old male student studying abroad, and the prosecution demanded a prison sentence between 3.5 to 7 years.
But due to the fact that he was underage at the time, there is a lot of public worry that he will be let off on a lighter sentence.
