Get To Know Yoon Ji On — The Quirky, Charismatic, And Honestly Hot AF Grim Reaper From K-Drama “Tomorrow”
MBC‘s newest show Tomorrow has particularly captured the hearts of international netizens not only for its heartwarming storylines but also for raising awareness about suicide in Korea. The series follows three “Grim Reapers,” whose aim is to try and help those who are trying to die by suicide.
Rather than disregarding the reasons people may want to end their lives, the show discusses the issues within Korean society that might lead people to this stage in their life.
The show has some huge names, including SF9‘s Rowoon, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Kim Hee Sun as the main characters. However, one actor who has been gaining a lot of love (and admirers) from the series is Yoon Ji On, who plays Lim Ryung Goo.
At first, Lim Ryung Goo seems cold and distant from Choi Joon Woong (SF9’s Rowoon), but through seeing his past and learning about his experiences, the character develops into a loveable and charismatic person that is key to the team’s success.
He’s even become iconically known for randomly picking his nose, which is all due to his previous life.
Netizens also saw a different side to the character when the hardships and pain of his past were slowly revealed.
Even away from his role as the Grim Reaper, Yoon Ji On is as handsome as they come. He has been known to share his idol-like and modelesque visuals on his Instagram account. With his chiseled jawline and youthful looks, the 31-year-old actor is definitely hot AF.
Although it is the first time many people have seen Yoon Ji On, the actor has actually been in the industry since 2016 and has been in many K-Dramas and movies. He made his acting debut in 2016 as the assistant director in tVN‘s Memory.
After that, the actor had a series of small roles and cameos in some huge shows like Mr. Sunshine, Sweet Home, and many more. In particular, many netizens shared their shock at realizing that Yoon Ji On played the brother of the lead character Eun Jung (played by Jeon Yeo Been) in the hit K-Drama Be Melodramatic, which was worlds away from the Grim Reaper.
And his role in Tomorrow seems to have allowed all eyes on Yoon Ji On. He’s so loved that he’s even slaying in magazine shoots and wowing netizens with his visuals!
With his popularity rising worldwide, Yoon Ji On has wowed netizens with not only his diversity when it comes to roles but also his ability to make a character multi-dimensional. After being a supporting actor for years, hopefully, we’ll be seeing him taking on main leads soon!
