Kep1er’s Mashiro Gets Real About How Rushed The Group’s Last OT9 MV Was
Kep1er made their last comeback as nine members on June 3 with their title track “Shooting Star.”
Japanese member Mashiro took to social media right before the release of the music video, revealing that it was not yet complete. In fact, she said that it was probably “going to be released much later.”
And let me tell you one thing!!!!!
The music video is still being edited, right?? Hehe
It’s going to be released much later than you think.— Mashiro
According to Mashiro, this is not uncommon in the K-Pop industry.
It usually gets completed around the day before. Other artists’ situations might be almost the same!!
— Mashiro
Though it was the last music video that she and Yeseo would appear in as Kep1er members, the company was not able to finish it with much time to spare. They edit it until the very end.
We really make edits until the very, very, very final…and then it’s released.
— Mashiro
Fans were understandably shocked, feeling as if this important comeback was rushed by the company, WAKEONE Entertainment.

At the same time, others knew it was the norm in the creative industry.

“Shooting Star,” in particular, has many visual effects scenes.
Kep1er will be continuing as a group of seven following this comeback. Yeseo and Mashiro will return to their original company, 143 Entertainment, possibly to join their girl group Limelight.
