Kim Jaejoong Opens Up About His Terrifying “Sasaeng” Encounters
Former TVXQ member Kim Jaejoong recently opened up about his horrifying experiences with sasaeng fans, revealing the true extent of stalking idols he could face back in the day.
Jaejoong recently dropped his fourth full-length album, FLOWER GARDEN, to celebrate his 20th debut anniversary. One of the tracks on the album, “Don’t,” garnered special attention as it specifically addressed stalker fans to stop bothering him.
While talking about this song on SBS Power FM’s Cultwo Show recently, the singer recalled that some fans had even broken into his dormitory. But he relayed a particular incident that was extremely disturbing. One night, Jaejoong recalled that he dreamt of being kissed by a woman, except it felt too real to be a dream. When he opened his eyes, he saw someone standing over him with her hair covering her face, except her eyes. He quickly realized that it was a sasaeng fan that had broken into his house. This story left the show’s MCs extremely creeped out, as Jaejoong confessed, “It was really scary.”
A few days prior, the idol shared another traumatic encounter with a stalker fan in a YouTube video. Jaejoong shared that one day, while he was at home, he received a picture on his phone from an unknown number. When he went to check the photo, he saw that it was a photo of him taken right at that moment from the back. It made him realize that the stalker was in his house in real time.

Despite these scary experiences, Jaejoong said he doesn’t regret becoming an idol, and given the opportunity to do it all over once again, he would want to pursue the same path!
