Popular Idol-Actor Charged With Refusing To Cooperate With Police After Suspected DUI Accident
Actor and first-generation K-Pop idol Kim Jeong Hoon has reportedly been booked for driving under the influence.
On January 8, Seoul’s Suseo Police Department revealed that Kim Jeong Hoon was currently being investigated for drunk driving.
According to the police, at 3 AM on December 29, the actor collided with the vehicle in front of him. When police at the scene requested he take a breathalyzer test, the actor allegedly refused.
Police reportedly requested the actor take the test three separate times, but after the actor refused, they arrested him. The police have since stated they are investigating why the actor refused the test, as well as the events leading up to the accident.
Meanwhile, Kim Jeong Hoon, who was a member of the first-generation idol group UN, will be holding a concert in Japan on January 19-20. Reports state that the actor had asked the police to push back the date of his in-person investigation to after his concert. Police have since confirmed this and stated they complied due to the fact that the actor was not a flight risk.
