Idol-Actor To Go Through With Overseas Concert Despite Lingering DUI Scandal

Police previously declined to cancel the idol’s passport.

First-generation idol and actor Kim Jeong Hoon will reportedly go through with his Japanese concert despite being mired in a DUI scandal.

On January 11, it was reported that the actor would be holding his concert in Japan from January 19 to 20. The concerts will be held in Osaka and Ginza, Tokyo, respectively.

Some reports are criticizing the actor for the decision due to lingering controversy stemming from a car accident involving the actor. On December 29, the actor was involved in a crash at 3 AM in Gangnam.

Controversy erupted when it was reported that the Kim Jeong Hoon refused to cooperate with police and ultimately resisted taking a breathalyzer test. The situation was exacerbated by the actor when he held a livestream on New Year’s Day. It is reported that the actor made no mention and didn’t offer an apology for the incident.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that Kim Jeong Hoon has been in trouble for driving under the influence of alcohol. In 2011, the actor had his license revoked for the same charge.

Kim Jeong Hoon is a first-generation idol who debuted in 2000 with UN. The actor has since become an actor, having starred in over a dozen K-Dramas throughout his career.
