Controversial Actor Kim Ji Soo's Recent Appearance And Activities Spark Mixed Reactions

Actor Kim Ji Soo has recently resurfaced to mixed reactions.

Ji Soo is known for his handsome visuals and acting skills. He has appeared in some of the hottest K-dramas, such as Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (also known as Strong Girl Bong Soon), Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and My First First Love.

His career seemed as though it could only go up until 2021, when he was accused of school violence, bullying, sexual harassment, and assault. His agency at the time then terminated his contract, and he was replaced by another actor in the drama Where The River Moon Rises.

Jisoo enlisted in the military shortly after, and in 2023, he gave an update on the allegations, stating that the original accuser had since forgiven him.

I met with “A” and talked with him for a long time. He thought I ostracized him from the other students because I was close with “B,” a student who was involved in the gift certificate theft. It’s true I was close with “B” at that time. So I think “A” thought I was involved in the incident. We talked about the misunderstandings and we resolved the issue, that I was not involved. On July 3, Ji Soo debuted in the Philippine drama series Black Rider. The star played a half-Korean, half-Filipino who teaches gunfighting techniques to one of the main supporting characters, Vanessa (played by Yassi Pressman).

In mid-July, Ji Soo attended GMA Network’s GMA Gala 2024, where he won the “Red Carpet Scene Stealer Award.”

In addition to his styling, many netizens were less than pleased that the star was beginning a career after confirmed bullying allegations.
