Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo will no longer take money from “Running Man”
Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo decided to collectively donate their remaining salary from SBS in full.
On December 19th, a Running Man staff revealed that the two celebrities decided to donate their remaining salary from all of their upcoming appearances.
Last week, Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo suffered immense stress after being inadvertently kicked out from the program. The program was reported to returning with a new season and format but failed to inform the two celebrities of their possible departure.

According to the articles released, Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo were caught off guard and only knew about their exclusion the day before. Song Ji Hyo was even revealed to have locked herself in her room upon hearing the news. An apology from SBS acknowledged their fault on the miscommunication and decided to ultimately end the program by February.
Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo agreed to join the rest of the members until the finale. In solidarity, they have also decided to donate the rest of their salary from today until they finish filming in February. A mature gesture that earned praise from many entertainment insiders.

When asked about the donation, an official also revealed, “They are looking into how and where they are going to donate.”
Due to the recent incident, Running Man also canceled filming today. Regularly filming will resume during the week.
