Kim Sae Ron’s Family Strongly Denies Ex-Boyfriend’s Claims About Kim Sae Ron
Kim Sae Ron‘s alleged ex-boyfriend, identified as “K,” recently gave an interview on March 25, 2025. He alleged that Kim Soo Hyun was not a factor in her death, and blamed her family and husband instead.
He made several claims about her family, claiming that they did not care about her. “K” claimed that she struggled heavily due to her family’s indifference to her personal situation. He revealed that on November 1, 2024, she attempted self-harm and required emergency surgery. K claimed that while her family was notified of this, none of them showed up to be there for her in her time of need, with only “K” staying by her side until she was discharged from the hospital.

Kwon Young Chan, the head of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, who has been in contact with Kim Sae Ron’s family, refuted K’s claims strongly on their behalf. In an interview on March 25, 2025, he presented a hospital receipt and reiterated that her family had gone to the hospital over 18 times for Kim Sae Ron.
She attempted suicide about 20 times, and her parents took her to the hospital for 18 of them. They were there for her throughout.

Kwon added that on the day K claimed her former agency paid for her emergency surgery, Kim Sae Ron did not contact her mother.
Her manager accompanied her instead, likely because her mother, who worked nights as a substitute driver, was sleeping during the day. The agency CEO was reportedly furious at the manager for not informing the family, fearing something could have gone wrong.

Lastly, Kwon denounced K’s claims that the young actress committed suicide because of her family and husband. He confirmed that K and Kim Sae Ron had only dated for a month, expressing doubt at why Kim Sae Ron would confide so much to someone she only knew for such a short time.
