Disgraced Businessman Mocked For Dressing Like Actor Kim Soo Hyun
A famous Chinese businessman is under public scrutiny once more, this time for a seemingly out-of-the-blue reason.
Wang Xiaofei is a disgraced businessman who is known for cheating on his ex-wife, Meteor Garden‘s Barbie Hsu. The two are currently embroiled in a messy legal battle that is further pulling the businessman down in the eyes of the public.
This was especially clear when he appeared outside a Taipei police station wearing a thin, ratty brown shirt after causing a commotion in Barbie Hsu’s home. The understated shirt was actually a $600 USD piece from luxury brand Saint Laurent, but netizens could not care less. They considered it a “hobo” look and compared it to “salted vegetables.”
The barrage of insults did not end there. Even when Wang Xiaofei cleaned up for his court appearance at the beginning of the month, netizens found reasons to dislike his attire. This time, it was because he seemed to have copied the outfit of Queen of Tears actor Kim Soo Hyun.
The 42-year old businessman donned the same blue bomber jacket that Kim Soo Hyun’s character wore in the 6th episode of the K-Drama.
Though it looks like a basic bomber jacket at first glance, it is actually an expensive one from the French luxury brand BERLUTI. It is none other than their “Patina Leather Bomber” that retails for around $7,000 USD.
Though he cleaned up better, netizens were still not impressed. They mocked him for copying the actor’s outfit unsuccessfully, saying he could not live up to the latter’s legendary visuals.
