Kim Soo Hyun’s upcoming fan meeting in Taiwan appears to be moving forward as planned, despite the ongoing controversy surrounding him.

The actor has recently been at the center of allegations involving the late Kim Sae Ron, with claims that they had a relationship when she was still a minor. The accusations, which have been widely discussed on the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute, have led to massive backlash both in South Korea and internationally.
In response, several brands—including Tous Les Jours, Homeplus, Eider, Shabu All Day, and Dinto — have reportedly removed their advertisements featuring Kim Soo Hyun. Meanwhile, overseas, some have discarded promotional materials featuring him, with public sentiment appearing to grow increasingly negative.
Despite this, the 2025 Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival (also known as the 2025 Sakura Festival) in Taiwan has made no changes to Kim Soo Hyun’s scheduled appearance. The festival is set to run from March 28 to 30, with the actor expected to meet fans on the final day from 9:20 PM to 10:00 PM (local time). Organizers have not issued any statements regarding his attendance, and ticket sales have remained open.

Interest in the event remains high, as key sections — including VIP, general, and couple seats — are already sold out. Only a limited number of tickets remain available in specific areas, including seating for elderly attendees.

With ticket sales continuing and no official changes announced, Kim Soo Hyun seems likely to go ahead with his planned fan meeting. As the situation unfolds, attention is now on whether he will make an appearance despite the controversy.
