Kim Soo Hyun Proves He’s Worth His ₩500 Million Won Episode Fee In Thrilling “One Ordinary Day” Premiere
Actor Kim Soo Hyun has become one of South Korea’s biggest actors, despite being only 33-years-old. The talented actor only proved his A-List status even more when he previously made headlines for his record breaking appearance fee in his newest K-Drama, One Ordinary Day. And while the whopping ₩500 million KRW (about $423,000 USD) per episode fee is shocking, the actor proved his worth through his superb acting skills.
Kim Soo Hyun’s Coupang Play series One Ordinary Day just premiered its first episode a few days ago and unsurprisingly enough, it is off to an amazing start. The K-Drama follows the story of an average college student Kim Hyun Soo (played by Kim Soo Hyun), whose life turns upside down when he becomes the suspect in a murder case. While following his story, the law-based series delves into the cruel criminal justice system in South Korea.
The 8-episode series is based on the UK television series Criminal Justice and has dark, thrilling aspects within its plot. Due to the somber nature of the K-Drama, there are many emotional scenes—which were digested 100% by Kim Soo Hyun.
Following the premiere of the first episode, Kim Soo Hyun has started to make headlines for his amazing acting abilities. His crying skills are a no brainer, since he’s shown that plenty of times before in other productions.
However, it was the different phases of emotions that the actor portrayed through just his eyes were the true scene stealer. He captivated his audience scene…
…after scene…
…after scene with his talented ways. No wonder he’s getting paid the big bucks!
Coupang Play’s One Ordinary Day premiered on November 27 and will air an episode every Saturday. In the meantime, be sure to check out the thrilling teaser down below.
