Kim Soo Hyun’s Lawyer Gives Statement About Lawsuit Against Kim Sae Ron’s Family

On the March 21, 2025, actor Kim Soo Hyun’s legal representative, attorney Kim Jong Bok of LKB & Partners, responded to CBS NoCut News‘ inquiry about whether there would be an additional lawsuit for defamation regarding the claims of an underage relationship.
On March 20, 2025, his camp previously announced that they have filed criminal suits against Kim Sae Ron‘s family, as well as Garo Sero Research Institute, on grounds of sexual humiliation due to the photo they released.
Kim Soo Hyun’s lawer claimed that they are “reviewing potential legal actions, as per the first official statement.”
“As stated in yesterday’s statement, with the passing of former agency actress Kim Sae Ron, the agency is currently filled with grief and mourning. We believe the bereaved family is also sharing these sentiments, so for now, we are refraining from further legal actions as much as possible. We had no choice but to file a complaint this time because there was a risk that explicit photos of an extreme nature would continue to be released.”
Korean media deduced that immediate legal action would be unlikely. On the other hand, Kim Sae Ron’s family has not taken direct legal action against Kim Soo Hyun. They have only filed a defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, who had been disclosing Kim Sae Ron’s private matters during her lifetime.
