Kim Young Kwang and 2NE1’s Dara to star in new Chinese-Korean web drama
Shortly after wrapping up for the latest hit drama Pinocchio, actor Kim Young Kwang has been confirmed to star as the male lead for a new Chinese-Korean joint venture web drama starring opposite 2NE1 member Sandara Park!
A representative from Kim’s agency has stated, “Kim Young Kwang has been cast as the male lead in the new Chinese-Korean web drama called Dr. Mo’s Clinic and filming for the drama will begin in February.”
It has also been revealed that Dara of YG Entertainment‘s powerhouse female group 2NE1 will be playing the female lead opposite of Kim Young Kwang, exciting fans since this will be Dara’s first time as a lead actress in a drama. In addition, the drama will be directed by Kwon Hyuk Chan, who directed hits including Secret Garden, The Master’s Sun, and A Gentleman’s Dignity.
Dr. Mo’s Clinic will follow the lives of patients who seek out the help of a therapist, played by Kim Young Kwang, who specializes in hypnosis treatments to help the patients find healing and love in their lives. In the drama, love and pain shape a person’s character development and are used to find healing in counseling, but when a woman seeks out Kim Young Kwang for healing, he finds himself experiencing a healing of his own.
As a Chinese-Korean joint venture, the drama will begin airing simultaneously in March on Naver TVCast and the Chinese drama website Youku.
