JTBC‘s new K-Drama King the Land, which airs internationally via Netflix on Saturdays and Sundays, has become an instant hit due to the leads, Gu Won (2PM‘s Lee Junho) and Sa Rang‘s (Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA) chemistry.

Amid a tense inheritance fight, a charming heir clashes with his hardworking employee who’s known for her irresistible smile — which he cannot stand.

Yet, no K-Drama is complete without supportive friends. Gu Won has Mr. Noh (Ahn Se Ha), while Sa Rang has besties Kang Da Eul (Kim Ga Eun) and Oh Pyung Hwa (Go Won Hee).

But viewers couldn’t help but feel like they had seen Oh Pyung Hwa before. Of course, actress Go Won Hee has appeared in other K-Dramas, such as Welcome to Waikiki...

Still, there was something really familiar about her character, Oh Pyung Hwa, specifically.

K-Drama fans remembered Go Won Hee as Shin Na Eun from her previous K-Drama, the romantic comedy Love to Hate You. Like King the Land, Go Won Hee portrayed the female lead’s (Kim Ok Bin) bestie and roommate, who worked full-time as a flight attendant.

The similarities are endless! Considering the K-Dramas are also back-to-back is a crazy coincidence. She just played the role so well!
