KISS OF LIFE's Julie Criticized For Blatant Photo Editing On Her Body

In this day and age, it can be nearly impossible to tell sometimes when a photo is edited or not. Some people are such experts at photo editing that they don’t leave any clear tells, while other times editing is just subtle enough that it’s not obvious.

On the other hand, there are still plenty of instances when it’s obvious that a photo has been edited, and the K-Pop industry and the idols in it are no exception. Sometimes it’s an idol’s company that’s behind the editing, while other times it’s the idols themselves that seem to be the culprit.

Recently, an older picture of KISS OF LIFE‘s Julie got renewed attention due to her snatched waist in the image. A lot of people commenting on the photo expressed their awe and envy over the idol’s figure, with one forum post about the picture titled “I’m not joking, Julie’s waist is as big as her thigh…..”.

If you are even a little knowledgeable about photo editing tells or how human anatomy works, you can probably tell right away that the image is clearly photoshopped. Not only does Julie appear to be missing several ribs in the image, but the enlarged size of her right elbow and the strange half-disappeared strand of hair going across her chest are pretty clear clues that the photo isn’t natural.

What’s more frustrating about the situation is that Julie already has an incredible body, which can be seen in plenty of other images of the idol.

It’s upsetting that someone who already has the kind of body many people would like to have feels the need to edit herself this much. Body image issues are a major problem in the K-Pop industry and the fandom, and it’s not unlikely that young fans compared their own bodies to the version of Julie in the edited photo despite how unrealistic it is.
