Korean Man Goes Viral For His Drunk “Mary Poppins” Antics At Baseball Game, Makes National News
A Korean man is being called the “Jamsil Mary Poppins” after running onto the field during a baseball game.
On July 19, the Doosan Bears went up against the LG Twins in a baseball match at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. During the bottom of the 5th inning, the game paused momentarily when an older man suddenly ran onto the baseball field wielding an umbrella.
The man ran across the entirety of the outfield before being caught by one of the players in the infield. At one point, he seems to wave towards the pitchers mound, gaining a bit more momentum as other players help contain him.
He seems in great spirits as the security arrives to escort him off field, having earned laughs from the audience and those in the LG Twins’ dugout.
Clips of this incident have racked up millions of views on X, where many have shared comparisons to popular characters.

The man has been compared to Disney character Mary Poppins most often, due to him resembling her while holding the opened umbrella.
