Korean Media Outlets Reveal NewJeans Attempts To Directly Sign With Luxury Brands, Violating Their Contract With ADOR

NewJeans‘ Danielle was recently revealed as the newest brand ambassador for the luxury watch brand Omega. This came after the group left ADOR and HYBE. On December 18, 2024, it was reported by 10Asia that a manager of NewJeans, Manager A, who is still under ADOR, helped the girls convey the message to Omega that Danielle had wanted to directly sign a contract with the brand themselves. 10Asia confirmed that Manager A had contacted the brand and helped conduct contract discussions between NewJeans and the brand. Another manager, Manager B, who already resigned from ADOR, also helped another luxury brand contact the girls directly and has tried to help the girls sign a two-party contract directly with the brand.

10Asia reports that this could be considered a violation of NewJeans’ exclusive contract with ADOR, as they have attempted a two-party contract that excludes ADOR. However, NewJeans have already declared the end of their contract with ADOR. On the other hand, ADOR countered that the contract remains valid.

Manager A has also been reported to have been suspended. ADOR has also contacted the various brands to declare that a two-party contract would not be possible given their exclusive contract with NewJeans. Despite ADOR’s stance, Omega has already gone ahead and announced Danielle as their newest ambassador.
