He also shared with ARMYs a light-hearted farewell, showcasing his lovable personality as he left fans with a League of Legends reference while making a joke in the most Jin way possible.

On the day of his military entrance ceremony, Jin remained in his car to not disturb the ceremony or the other recruits and their families.

ARMYs were only able to catch a quick glimpse of the fleet of Kia vans carrying the seven BTS members into the training center at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County of Gyeonggi Province.

On December 14, BTS gave fans a closer look at Jin’s entrance ceremony through an emotional Bangtan Bomb episode where the members said “farewell for now” to their eldest hyung.

Although it’s only been ten days since Jin officially enlisted, it’s felt like an eternity to many ARMYs who are missing Jin. Luckily, ARMYs received an update on Jin today through a photo uploaded to The Camp, a website and app that loved ones of those in the Korean military can use for updates.

The app provides official photos uploaded by the military, information about their daily meals, and a place where letters can be sent virtually. Here, pictures of military trainees are often uploaded, and Jin’s photo was among the updates.

Jin was seen smiling with his hair grown out slightly from his initial buzz cut reveal photos. ARMYs were emotional and grateful for the update as various hashtags about Jin began to trend on Twitter.

Previously, The Camp announced they would be making a separate page specifically for celebrity fanmail on their website so fans can support enlisted celebrities without disrupting mail sent by loved ones of other recruits.
