MEOVV’s Debut Song Receives Lacklustre Reviews
Here’s what they think.
MEOVV is THE BLACK LABEL‘s newest girl group. On September 6, 2024, the girls released their debut song, “MEOW.”
The girls consist of famous child model Ella Gross…
…and Japanese beauty Anna.
Sooin was teased as their main dancer.
Gawon, more known to pre-debut fans as Chloe Lee, also used to model for various brands.
Narin rounds up the group as the main rapper.
The song featured an addictive melody and a pumping beat. Netizens felt that the song was a little “too Teddy,” naming their producer. They compared the song to BLACKPINK’s previous hit songs, which all follow the same formula of a fast-paced dance break right before the ending.
- They look too much like rookies. Everyone looks so awkward.
- It would’ve been better if the song was good, but something is missing.
- Mark the time and day of the death of YG’s music.
- The song feels like it has been tailored to social media challenges. Seems like it’s possible for someone to not tipple over even if they put both feet on a motorcycle like that…
- Seems like a BLACKPINK song they’re singing. What a pity.
- It’s the same formula as BABY MONSTER’s debut song. It’s just a common YG style.
- The song formula is the same one BLACKPINK used for years. (At the end, it’s like “…blahblahblah!” with a sudden dance break.) I don’t feel the same freshness as a rookie group should have.
