Korean Netizens Shocked By “Queen Of Tears” Kim Ji Won’s Horrifying Airport Arrival
Earlier today, actress Kim Ji Won returned to South Korea following her trip to Singapore, where she attended a Bulgari perfume launch event. The actress, who went viral for her stunning look at the event, was met with an equally overwhelming reception at the airport.
Even Kim herself — who has been enjoying an incredible surge in popularity for her role in the K-Drama Queen of Tears — was taken aback by the sheer number of fans who had gathered to greet her.
Unsurprisingly, the airport quickly turned chaotic as fans and reporters swarmed around her, causing a hectic scene. Bodyguards struggled to keep the crowd at bay, and Kim has pushed around roughly as fans attempted to get closer to her and shower her with gifts.
Despite the horrifying chaos, Kim maintained her composure, smiling and thanking her fans graciously.
She's such a patient person, still smiling, waving, trying to accept as much letters as she can, it was stressing her out and you can see it but she's still worrying about others instead of herself, literally few idols experience this level of crowd at airport#KimJiwon pic.twitter.com/pls4M99bn9

The commotion has since become a hot topic on various South Korean community sites. A post on the popular forum TheQoo garnered over 37,000 views and more than 150 comments. Netizens shared their shock and concern for Kim Ji Won, all while noting how good her attitude must be for continuing to be nice to the fans despite the chaos.
- “Even die-hard idol fans aren’t this bad. What kind of fans are these?”
- “What’s going on?”
- “Huh… Why are they acting like that?”
- “Are they international fans? With local K-Drama fans, it’s never this bad.”
- “They should’ve managed the airport situation better from the start. Seems like everyone showed up just because there were talks about how nice she is when greeting people.”
- “And now they’re bragging about the gifts they handed to her. And they’re not even getting called out for it, so it’s only about to get even worse.”
- “Honestly, I have nothing good to say about the male fans.”
- “According to Dispatch reporters, only four journalists were there. The rest were just people who came to watch, which made it worse.”
