Korean Olympian Kim Je Deok is being slammed for liking and following a streamer-turned-idol who is deemed “problematic.”

Kim Je Deok is currently receiving criticism after liking and following posts from controversial streamer turned idol QWER‘s Chodan.
In articles, there was proof of the athlete liking past photos from the idol.
QWER is a group made of online female influencers, and while they have gained popularity, they have also come under a lot of criticism. Along with her “racy” photos and past, the reason Kim Je Deok has gained criticism for liking Chodan’s photos is because of past anti-feminist remarks.
During a broadcast, Chodan was seen referring to feminists as “crazy b*tches.”

An article shared that after photos were posted, many tried to defend the athlete, saying it was his personal life.
When a post about the issue was posted on theqoo, it quickly attracted a lot of attention and opinions from netizens. Although some seemingly saw no issue, others hit back at the fact that female athletes get more criticism for doing less, pointing out that it seemingly showcases double standards when it comes to gender.
