Koreans Show Their Support For NMIXX After Accusations Of “Anti-Japanese Sentiment”
NMIXX recently came under fire when Japanese netizens began accusing them of anti-Japanese sentiments due to a song they sang.
あんまり言及されてないの許せないので言うけどNMIXXのこの替え歌独島(竹島)ソングやばくない?
歌わされてるとはいえメンバーもノリノリなの複雑すぎるだろ

I can’t stand that it’s not being mentioned much, so I’ll say it: Isn’t NMIXX’s parody song about Dokdo (Takeshima) problematic? Even though they’re being made to sing it, it’s too complicated that the members seem to be really into it. It’s not anti-Japanese, is it? I hope not…

The song makes use of various K-Pop and Korean songs and memes to talk about how Dokdo belongs to South Korea. While Korea currently holds legislation over the islets, Japan has contested Korea’s claim on it. The small islet has become an persisting source of conflict between the two countries.
Korean netizens showed their support for NMIXX amidst the controversy.
- taking the chance to watch NMIXX’s music video~ Hope they don’t be dejected over this.
- NMIXX fighting.
- Having a better impression of NMIXX now.
- B*llshit LOL.
- Then who’s land is it, you brats?
- “This is so shocking?” B*llshit. It’s our land to begin with.
