12 New K-Pop Songs And One New Album Just Debuted On Billboard’s World Charts
This past week has been a big one for K-Pop comebacks, and it shows in how many new songs in the genre just debuted on Billboard‘s world charts for the week of June 12!
The World Digital Song Sales chart ranks the 25 best-selling international singles in the United States each week, while the World Albums chart does the same for the top 15 best-selling international albums.
With K-Pop growing in popularity seemingly every day, there’s often a large portion of these charts taken up by the music genre, and this week is no different. In fact, an incredible 12 new K-Pop songs are trending on the World Digital Song Sales chart, and one new album on the World Albums chart!
To start off with the song sales chart, the highest-ranking new song to make it on the list is “0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You)” by TXT (ft. Seori). Ranked at #3, this is actually one of their two new songs debuting this week, the other one being “Anti-Romantic” at #8.
These are TXT’s 18th and 19th songs to make it onto this chart, with “Crown” being their highest-ranking with a peak at #1 back in 2019.
The next highest-ranking song this week is “Wolfgang” by Stray Kids, coming in at #4. This song was first performed by them on the final episode of Kingdom: Legendary War, and was absolutely phenomenal!
This isn’t the only Kingdom: Legendary War song that made it onto this chart, however. ATEEZ‘s “The Real” also charts this week, ranked at #6. Like Stray Kids, they completely owned the stage with their performance of this new song, and it’s now their 12th song to rank on this chart.
The majority of new songs on this week’s Billboard chart went to MONSTA X, thanks to the new album that they just dropped, One of a Kind. The title song, “Gambler”, is of course the highest-charting at #5. After that, from #11 to #16 respectively, are “Addicted”, “Secrets”, “Rotate”, “Livin’ It Up”, “Heaven”, and “Bebe”.
The group has had dozens of songs make it onto this chart before, with one — “From Zero” — reaching #1 back in early 2020.
Finally, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu & Wonwoo wrap up the list of new songs with their recently released duet, “Bittersweet”, featuring Lee Hi. This is the duo’s first time making it onto the chart as a pair, and they spend their debut week at #21.
As far as K-Pop albums go, just one new one debuted on the World Albums chart this week. TXT’s new album, The Chaos Chapter: Freeze, spends its first week on the chart at #4! It’s their 6th album total to make it on this list, with The Dream Chapter: Star and Minisode1: Blue Hour both hitting #1 in the past.
Congratulations to all of the artists who have new music trending on Billboard’s world charts this week!
