Here Are Some K-Pop Songs To Add To Your Holiday Playlist

Let the festivities begin!

While December is the month for music award ceremonies and the off-season for K-Pop singers, artists continue releasing carol albums for the end-of-the-year festivities. Let’s look at some festive songs we can look forward to wrapping up the year!

INFINITE’s Woohyun, released his first solo album, Whitree, last month, and although it is a full-length album, it was mainly filled with winter songs. The title track, “Baby Baby,” is a carol song that clearly sets the winter mood. He also participated in writing the lyrics and gave the song a bright and lovely feeling.

K-Pop girl group TRI.BE, released its Christmas carol album, The Little Drummer Girls, and began activities with the title song, “Papa Noel.” This song has an Afro-Latin sound adapted from the carol “The Little Drummer Boy.” The b-side track, “LORO,” features EXID’s LE, and is a song that stands out with an addictive drop and reggaeton sound.

Group ATBO released its first debut single, MUST HAVE, and as it is their first seasonal song since debut, they hoped to transform into “winter delivery men” and “deliver a cozy winter to many people.” This song is a reinterpretation of the song “MUST HAVE LOVE,” which was released as a single by Brown Eyed Girls’ Gain and SG Wannabe’s Yongjun in 2006.

Singer Hwang Chi Yeol is scheduled to release his first winter album, I LOVE WINTER, on December 11. This is his first seasonal album since his debut and contains a message of hope that many people will have a great end-of-the-year.

K-Pop girl group Apink will release a seasonal song, “Pink Christmas”, as a Christmas gift for the fans. This song captures the warm and cheerful winter spirit, with the members participating in writing the lyrics.

LE SSERAFIM recently dropped a carol-like remix of their first English digital single, Perfect Night, which is gaining popularity in the global market.

aespa recently sang a reinterpretation of the popular carol, “Jingle Bell Rock”. The song stands out with its strong 808 bass and different instrumental sounds.
