K-Pop Girl Group Sparks Divided Reactions As Fans Are Allowed To “Vote” For Their Airport Outfits

Is it too much control to fans?

K-Pop is an industry where everything is planned to the smallest detail, and companies have control over many aspects, especially with younger groups.

When K-Pop idols go on overseas schedules, they’re always greeted at the airport by fans and the media, and their outfits are probably planned to look the best, taking into consideration each member and the conditions of their departure.

But what if you had control over the outfits idols wore at the airport?

That’s exactly what ARTMS are allowing fans to do, and it’s sparked mixed reactions.

The company Modhaus has a system called Gravity, which is a voting app for groups.

Recently, it was announced that fans would be able to vote for what ARTMS wore the next time they were at the airport for an overseas schedule.

When the tweet was shared, netizens shared their shock and anger that it’s getting to the point that idols can’t pick what they wear to the airport, and it’s being chosen by fans through a vote.

Yet, fans quickly shared that the poll was made by the members and compared to the possibilities, having fans pick airport outfits was less serious and just meant to be some fun.

Yet, even after hearing that it was the girls’ choice, many still found it uncomfortable, especially when it was combined with the company’s use of the “Gravity” system with TripleS.
