The "Must-Have" Item Everyone Needs For "Fangirling" Now, According To K-Pop Fans Themselves

As a dedicated fan of any K-Pop group, it’s normal to have some key merchandise to show your love and support for them, such as their albums, lightsticks, photocards, or other official items.

Recently, however, fans have noticed a trend that’s become popular for their fellow fans to own to show their affection for a specific idol!

On a recent forum post, the “must-have” item one needs for “fangirling” was named: A “10cm doll that embodies the K-Pop idol”.

Usually depicted as animals, the plushies range from fuzzy critters like cats, bunnies, and quokkas to more unusual ones like octopi and bees! Whatever animal is usually used to represent a certain K-Pop idol, that seems to be what’s used for their respective plushie.

Some of these kinds of plushies are official merch, while others are creatively fan-made and look professional enough to seem official.

According to fans, however, these small critters can be a bit on the expensive side! They’re so cute, though, that a lot of people try to turn a blind eye to the price and purchase them anyway.

It seems a lot of fans get creative with the plushies too, taking adorably posed photos with cute backgrounds and even tiny accessories!

Several of them have features that make it more obvious which K-Pop idol they’re supposed to represent, such as moles in certain locations or other obvious markings.
