K-Pop Girl Group With Members Aged 12-14 Years Old Set To Debut Soon
The K-Pop scene is about to welcome one of its youngest girl groups yet, Burvey, with members aged between 12 and 14.
Originally active as a children’s group since 2020, Burvey has now launched pre-debut promotions as they transition into the mainstream K-Pop arena.
The five members of Burvey—You Yi, Yooran, Seoyoon, Jooha, and Soyul—bring youthful energy and a fresh image to the industry. You Yi and Yooran, the oldest members, are both 14, while Jooha and Soyul, born in 2011, are just a year younger. The group’s youngest member, Seoyeon, was born in June 2012, bringing their average age to just 13.
On November 2, Burvey released a teaser for their pre-debut single, Clap, on their social media platforms. The teaser shows the girls in a nostalgic, vintage setting with retro-inspired outfits, including goggles, headbands, and bandanas, capturing the vibe of the ’90s. The members’ fun style, paired with scenes of them gliding on Heelys in a parking lot, gives a playful and eye-catching preview of their concept.
The teaser also offered fans a taste of Clap, combining upbeat rhythms with Burvey’s distinctive vocals. The sound reflects a fresh take on ’90s-inspired music, blending new jack swing and funk with a modern twist.
Under the guidance of Park Sung Ho, a former member of the first-generation K-Pop group Goofy, Burvey is stepping into the spotlight as the youngest K-pop girl group in history. They have already performed at major events, including 2024 KCON Japan and the 2024 Mega Coffee Concert. Member Yui has also gained recognition with a busking video that amassed over 45 million views, while Jooha’s modeling gigs have further boosted their visibility.
Fans can expect Burvey’s pre-debut single Clap to drop on streaming platforms on November 6.
