K-Pop Idol Hints At Serious Discord Within His Group And Company, Sparking Fears

Hopefully, the situation will improve for all involved.

While K-Pop idols often portray themselves as a close-knit group of friends like a family, this is sometimes not the reality. Though many groups are exactly that, the knowledge that groups sometimes have serious fights and other issues amongst each other is common.

Recently, an idol’s messages to fans left many concerned about what was happening with the group.

In 2022, the survival program Stars Awakening selected seven competitors to form the final group, n.SSign. The following year, after pre-debut activities, n.SSign was restructured, adding three new members before their official debut on August 9, 2023.

The group returned in February 2024, and fans have been eagerly waiting for their third comeback.

However, on June 12, member Eddie sent several messages to fans that left many angry and confused.

In across multiple messages sent on the Fromm platform, Eddie begins by saying that he “can’t take it anymore,” and saying that fans deserved to know the truth. He followed up these messages by saying that he would now be taking his health into consideration, and that the following information could not wait any longer.

Eddie then says that they aren’t a team and that they never were, adding on that they “sure af” weren’t a family and that it would all make sense later.

The next messages state that the place, the people, and seemingly his entire experience in the group was not genuine. He then says that he has had it with “them,” implying that he is not just talking about n.CH Entertainment, but rather n.SSign themselves.

Naturally, this sparked much concern from fans and non-fans, who were worried for the idol’s condition and about the situation as a whole.

Some fans have been concerned for the group for a while due to their packed schedule, with two members currently being on hiatus; Doha, who began another hiatus in February 2024; and Hyun, who has been on hiatus since July 2023.

nCH Entertainment has also been criticized for the treatment of their groups, following the issues surrounding the disbandment of NATURE.
