5 New K-Pop Songs Have Debuted On The Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart
Each week, Billboard updates the 25 songs listed on their World Digital Song Sales chart to show which international singles are performing the best in the United States. With K-Pop becoming increasingly popular in the country, it often takes up a good portion of the list, and this week, 14 of the songs are from the K-Pop genre, 5 of which are brand new to the chart!
The highest charting new K-Pop song this week is “Fav Boyz” by A.C.E, spending their debut week at #4 on the chart. The boy group has only had two other songs make the list before — “Cactus” and “Undercover” — and they reached a peak of #21 and #23 respectively. This makes “Fav Boyz” their highest-charting song by a long shot!
The next new song to debut this week is (G)I-DLE‘s “HWAA”, taking the #8 place. It is their eighth song to rank on the chart, with their highest-ranking song being “HANN (Alone)” which made it all the way up to #2. Time will tell if “HWAA” gets up there too!
A couple places down at #10, MONSTA X is charting with “Nobody Else” for its debut week. This is their 20th song to rank on the World Digital Song Sales chart, and they’ve had one song — “From Zero” — that reached the top of the chart at #1 back in early 2020.
The fourth new K-Pop song this week is “What I Said” by VICTON, coming in at #21 for its debut. They’ve only had one other song — “Mayday” — rank on the list before, and it peaked at #23, so this is an improvement for this talented group!
And finally, wrapping up the end of the list is MCND‘s “Crush”, which made it onto the chart at #25. This is the rookie group’s very first song to make it onto the list, so it’s a huge accomplishment for them, especially since they are still such a young group!
As for the 9 other K-Pop songs charting this week, BTS takes up 5 of them: “Life Goes On” spending its 8th week at #3; “Filter” at #7, now on its 45th week on the chart; “Euphoria” a couple places down at #9 for its 48th week; “My Time” a little below it for its 45th week at #11; and finally, “Mic Drop” (ft. Desiigner) ranking at #16 for its incredible 131st week on the chart. It’s now the fourth longest-ranking K-Pop song on the chart!
BLACKPINK take up two of the other K-Pop spots: “How You Like That” at #12, now on its 28th week on the chart, and “Kill This Love, spending its 80th week on the chart at #15.
Finally, TWICE finishes things off with two songs charting as well: “Cry For Me” ranking at #17 for its 4th week, and “I Can’t Stop Me” placed just below it at #18 and now on its 12 week ranking on the chart.
Congratulations to all the artists that made the list this week!
