Late Song Jae Rim Former Manager’s Comments Gain Attention
The Korean entertainment industry was shocked after news of actor Song Jae Rim’s passing broke on November 12.
The Actresses star was only 39 years old.
Since his passing, fellow stars from the industry have taken to their social media accounts to share heartbreaking messages. Many posts have gained attention online, but the words Song’s former manager had to say about him have stood out.
The manager – who no longer works as one – told Ilgan Sports Song Jae Rim felt like an “older brother” to him.
Not only did the manager share that Song was always helping him out when he was going through hardship but that the two would always have fun together, on set and even on days off.
Actor Song Jae Rim was like an older brother to me. I learned a lot from watching him while working together.
When I quit my job and was struggling with career decisions, he would help me think through my concerns. We had fun working together on set, and on our days off, I would sometimes join him when he went out riding his motorcycle.

The former manager then confessed that after he had stopped working with Song he hadn’t reached out much in fear of burdening the star. Now, he regrets not doing so.
After I quit my job, I didn’t reach out much because I was afraid I might burden him. Now, I am overwhelmed with grief. He was always a thoughtful actor who cared for others and frequently participated in volunteer work.
