The True Meaning Of An Idol — LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin Praised For Apt Book Choice At The Airport
October 10 is World Mental Health Day. The objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world, and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.
Just a day before World Mental Health Day, LE SSERAFIM‘s Yunjin was spotted at the airport carrying the book 6 Nights of Lament. The book is written by Korean psychologist Go Seon Kyu, and details various counseling and meetings with people in their 20s to 30s. Each of these people have been affected by suicide. The book carefully contains words of comfort and the results of his research through these sessions.
The book’s cover describes itself as “Six meetings of lament by those bereaved by suicide, for them to wholly embrace the dead, while returning to their own lives.”
As airport sightings are one of the most public events that idols can show their individuality at, it was a perfect choice of venue for Yunjin to positively influence the world. Fans praised her for continuously seeking to improve and educate herself.
Yunjin just keeps educating herself, she really is "cultured and intellectual" she's also brilliant. https://t.co/JjsXa6KwmW pic.twitter.com/gYGCZeVVso

Whether on purpose or not, Yunjin’s display of the book and her reading of it creates the appropriate effect that is the very objective of World Mental Health Day — for more people to be aware about the importance of mental health care for everyone. She truly embodies the meaning of an “idol,” someone that fans can look up to.
