The group recently wrapped up their very successful tour, FLAME RISES, across Asia. After wrapping up their show in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 3, members Chaewon and Kazuha hosted a live broadcast on Weverse to hangout with fans. The live was also a sort of a mukbang, as the two idols casually interacted with fans while enjoying some delicious room service food.

But in the middle of their conversation, Kazuha noticed comments about their weight. She read them out loud, prompting Chaewon to look up from her plate and repeat it looking at the screen with a puzzled expression.

But she quickly retorted that it doesn’t matter if she gains weight. “I’m going to be a happy pig,” Chaewon replied.

Kazuha agreed, and added that their group’s motto is to be happy pigs, implying that they would rather eat happily than worry about weight gain.

Chaewon then sassed the rude comments saying, “Happiness is the best. Do you want to die?” adding, “Everyone, be happy and healthy.”

She followed it up with a sincere advice, that eating less is not the solution. Instead, you should move around a lot in order to be healthy. Kazuha agreed that eating well and adding movement in your routine is the best choice for your body.

Though the girls took some time to respond to the comment about their weight, in the next moment, they continued enjoying the food, showing how truly unbothered they are with such criticism.

Fans have praised this healthy mindset of the LE SSERAFIM members and commended them for promoting healthier eating habits to their young fanbase.

While toxic body standards and diet culture are still prevalent in K-Pop, idols like LE SSERAFIM are making positive impact in changing the narrative, even if it’s a small start.
