LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha Recalls Watching A BLACKPINK Music Video By Chance, And It Changed Her Life
SOURCE MUSIC girl group LE SSERAFIM recently guested on Showterview With Sunmi where they played games, answered questions, and talked about themselves.
When it was Kazuha‘s turn to be interviewed, MC Sunmi excitedly brought up how Kazuha had been doing ballet since her childhood.
“Apparently, you did ballet since you were little!” the “Heart Burn” singer exclaimed.
Kazuha nodded and explained that she started when she was 3 years old and danced for fifteen years. She went on to join many competitions and train in the Netherlands. She may not have mentioned it, but she even became a professional ballerina!
Since when I was 3, I did ballet for 15 years. I participated in lots of concours and went to the Netherlands to learn more.

Sunmi then wondered why she decided to become a K-Pop idol when it must have been her dream to pursue ballet. “I guess you must have dreamed of becoming a ballerina. What made you dream of becoming an idol?” she asked.
But the answer was simple! Kazuha said she was inspired by a popular female group—YG Entertainment girl group BLACKPINK. She saw one of their music videos by chance one day and was so inspired, she described the experience as being “mind-blowing.”
Afterwards, her entire mindset changed, and she decided that being a K-Pop idol was her new dream. She wanted to perform just like the four women.
One day, I came across a music video of BLACKPINK. It felt very new to me who had only been doing ballet. It was very mind-blowing, and it made me dream of performing like them one day.

The Japanese member was soon scouted by SOURCE MUSIC, and the rest is history. It’s no exaggeration to say that her entire life changed after she accidentally stumbled upon BLACKPINK’s music video!
