LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura Proves She And Her Former IZ*ONE Members Choi Yena And Kang Hyewon Are Best Friends — And Mortal Rivals
LE SSERAFIM‘s Sakura and her former IZ*ONE members have one fun activity they always like to do together, proving that they will always be inseparable…and chaotic.
When IZ*ONE disbanded in 2021, it left the members wondering if they’d ever be able to see each other again. Sakura and Chaewon, who debuted together in both IZ*ONE and LE SSERAFIM, got real about the uncertainties they had felt surrounding the future of their relationship after disbanding, with Sakura revealing that she thought she’d never see Chaewon again.
Similarly, Chaewon had also thought she was saying a final goodbye to Sakura. She was immensely happy when that turned out not to be the case.
Unfortunately, the idols don’t get to see their other former members as much as they would like. Seeing as they all have gone on to pursue their solo careers or join other groups (such as IVE), the former members can only occasionally drop IZ*ONE crumbs. But when they do, they remind WIZ*ONE that their friendship is truly forever!

Most recently, Sakura did so when she name-dropped her former members Choi Yena and Kang Hyewon in the most recent episode of her solo variety program, Fearless Kura.
In this episode, Sakura sat down to play video games with professional player Deft, a League of Legends esports player. Sakura spilled on how, at the peak of her obsession with the game, she would stay up all night to play it.
Then, when asked who she plays with the most, she revealed that it is Yena and Hyewon. Poking fun at her besties, she cheekily added that she’s the best player among them.
Hilariously, she then regretted her words, saying, “They’re going to text me saying that they’re better.”
Fans may not always get to see IZ*ONE together anymore, but it’s heartwarming to know that they still are in regular contact with each other and just as close as ever! In fact, Sakura was recently spotted together with Yena, raising hopes that fans may get to see them in some official capacity soon.
