Fact Check: Is LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin Dating An American Basketball Player?
Over the last week, LE SSERAFIM have been in the United States promoting their English single “Perfect Night.”
During their time in Los Angeles, the group were able to attend a Lakers game, where the basketball team’s dance team did a special performance of “ANTIFRAGILE.” Yunjin also attracted attention for her “completely different vibes” in America.

Sometime after the group attended the game, several pages began reporting that Yunjin was allegedly involved with Lakers player Austin Reeves.
Reaves is a 25-year-old who has played for the Lakers since 2021 and is no stranger to dating rumors with musicians. Earlier this year, Reaves was linked to singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, which he quickly denied on a podcast appearance.
But are the two actually involved? Most likely not.
The rumor likely began first with a post made by the Lakers featuring LE SSERAFIM decked out in Lakers gear. In the post’s comments, team fans discussed how Reaves would likely perform better due to their attendance.
While these comments were unknowingly inappropriate due to Eunchae‘s age, some began linking Austin to the members closest to his age, including Yunjin. From there, viral “shipping” videos of Austin and Yunjin were made.

There is also another indicator of this “couple” being entirely fabricated — one of the pages on Facebook that shared the post (and has the most likes) credited another page called ESPN Tondo for the “scoop.”
ESPN Tondo is a self-professed satire site.
It seems like this was just a joke believed by some ill-informed basketball fans.
