Lee Je Hoon Responds To Being His “Taxi Driver” Co-star Pyo Ye Jin’s Ideal Type
Lee Je Hoon is currently soaring at the peak of his longstanding acting career, thanks to the massive success of the Taxi Driver franchise. The show just finished its second season with record-breaking ratings and is already confirmed to return with a third season!
One of the many things fans enjoy about this K-Drama is the chemistry between Kim Do Gi (played by Lee Je Hoon) and Ahn Go Eun (played by Pyo Ye Jin). Do Gi and Go Eun started off as friendly colleagues in season one, but there was always a palpable attraction at work between them. Season two saw them get closer, with Go Eun cryptically admitting that she feels comfortable around Do Gi. The slow-burn romance has already taken up two whole seasons of the show, and viewers can’t wait to see a more involved romance plot.
So, imagine how excited fans were when they discovered that Pyo Ye Jin named Lee her ideal type of man! During her recent appearance on the SBS show My Little Old Boy, the actress admitted that she had named Lee Je Hoon the ideal man after watching Architecture 101. It was way before the two met for Taxi Driver. She also shared that she was concerned Lee might know about this comment and felt embarrassed on set when they first met.
Now the cat is out of the bag, but it seems Pyo has nothing to worry about. In a recent interview, Lee Je Hoon was asked about his reaction to Pyo’s confession. He responded cheekily, saying, “Thank you. To think that you thought of me like that…” and jokingly followed it up with, “Don’t tell me you said it with Season 3 in mind?”
He also shared a behind-the-scenes story from the Season 2 scene where Do Gi and Go Eun act like newlyweds. Lee said that the script only contained the lines but no specific directions on how to act. So, he and Pyo put their chemistry to work to figure out how they should behave like newlyweds.
I have rarely portrayed a cute or lovable couple in my projects but through that episode, I was able to quench my thirst for a romantic comedy.

Lee also shed some light on the off-screen chemistry between him and Pyo Ye Jin, saying that they have grown increasingly comfortable over the two seasons and spend their time on set “smiling” and “getting playful.“
