Boob Job Gone Wrong: Lee Se Young Reveals What Happened To Her Left Breast
In her new video shared on her YouTube channel, comedian-turned-content creator Lee Se Young revealed that she had surgical work done to undo the severe side effects of her breast augmentation procedure gone wrong.
In the video, Lee noted, “I couldn’t upload videos for a while because I was still recovering from the revision procedure.” After having recovered and “regaining sensation” in the affected area, Lee decided to share the experience on camera in hopes of emphasizing the importance of getting cosmetic work done at reliable clinics.

While Lee has undergone one nose lift and two double eyelid surgeries, her recent complications were actually from a procedure done on her breast. She explained that, after getting “fillers” for volume, she found out that the procedure was no longer allowed in Korea. She was told that the fillers were dissolvable, but she wasn’t able to dissolve and absorb the material.
Then, in 2023, she had an incident while working out. She slammed her chest into a barbell, and the undissolved filler ruptured inside her. Soon enough, she felt pain.

It hurt a lot. I thought I’d be fine, but the filler in my left boob, where I had the procedure, ruptured. If it had burst all at once, I would have noticed immediately, but since it tore gradually, I didn’t realize it.
But one day, I noticed I was heating up around my breasts and wondered if I should see a doctor. Then, looking in the mirror, I noticed my lats were enlarged and my breasts looked asymmetrical. Things got really bad over a span of few days. The filler had spread all the way to my back.

The revision procedure, though painful, went well and “about 98% of the filler was removed.” Lee Se Young said she “couldn’t do anything for a month or two.” She has since had the filler on her right breast also removed, costing her a little less than ₩10.0 million KRW (about $7,020 USD) total. Lee emphasized, “It’s not that cosmetic procedures are bad, but researching is non-negotiable,” and commented that she, too, will do a lot of learning before getting her next work done.
