“Rude” YouTuber Under Massive Attack After Editing LE SSERAFIM Chaewon’s Clip Without Apologizing
Will comedian-turned-YouTuber Lee Yong Jin be able to keep what he swept under the rug, swept? His actions following the initial backlash over his “rude” interaction with LE SSERAFIM‘s Chaewon are under massive attack.
Earlier, while reading tarot cards for the girl group member, Lee Yong Jin had a burst of rage about South Korean marriage and birth rates.
After telling Chaewon that she’d be the one to lead her household, Lee Yong Jin went off on a rant, first mentioning that “birthrates are dropping and marriage is changing a lot.” He then cursed, “Shibal, that f*cking pisses me off a lot,” before apologizing for the rant.
The video, undoubtedly, earned scathing criticism. Since then, the YouTuber has edited the video to remove the part in question. He has also removed a lot of the comments that called him out on his behavior. What he has not done, though, is respond to the criticism and/or apologize to Chaewon for the hostile moment.

That said, the now-edited video, alongside his social media platforms, is seeing a flood of even more heated reactions. Viewers who expected Lee Yong Jin to step up and explain what had happened remain even more disappointed at the fact that he, instead, chose to pretend like it didn’t happen at all.
- “Here we go again, with men wanting women to do more work. If he’s so worried about the birth rate, he should give birth. Adopt more babies. Instead of screaming at a 20-something girl group member. He’s such a coward for not apologizing about it.”
- “His YouTube team is working overtime to delete all the negative comments about what he said. Can’t go home to contribute to the birth rate. You gotta give them the time to make more babies, Yong Jin.”
- “He never, ever said sh*t like that when it was male celebrities in that seat. It’s pathetic how he acted all tough and got vulgar about the birth rate, of all things, in front of a girl group member.”
- “We all know what happened. But keep covering it up.”
- “It’s so f*cking cringe that he’s not apologizing for what he said but he is deleting the comments and editing the video. LOL. Just own up and apologize, man.”
- “Apologize about the rant, Yong Jin with one child.”
- “Next time, I hope Chaewon gets to go on a show with a real adult.”
Will the troubled YouTuber eventually face the consequences of his actions?
