The last episode of My Alcohol Diary featured BTS’s Jin as a guest star, creating an iconic video that ARMY adored.
But before uploading that episode, Young Ji addressed viewers in a video that featured both unreleased clips from earlier episodes as well as Young Ji’s honest thoughts about filming the show, indicating that the beloved show was drawing to a close.
Fortunately, Young Ji recently gave fans hope that a new series of My Alcohol Diary could start soon by answering a fan’s question on her Instagram story.
Although Young Ji just gave fans hope that the series could return, detective netizens already have suspicions about her “amazing first guest.”
One netizen noted that Young Ji recently followed Suzy on Instagram, which is the same clue that Young Ji gave before announcing BTS’s Jin as her guest.
I think it’s going to be Suzy. Not too long ago, Youngji started following Suzy.
The timing also makes sense as Suzy is starring in an upcoming Netflix K-Drama, Doona!, which could be released in October 2023.
Doona! is based on the Webtoon The Girl Downstairs, which tells the love story of a retired K-Pop idol and a university student.
Although netizens had previously debated whether or not Suzy fit the role of retired idol Lee Doo Na, based on her portrayal in the Webtoon, they were recently left in awe of Suzy’s stunning transformation for filming.
Even though there has yet to be an official announcement for the return of My Alcohol Diary, based on Young Ji’s comment, fans definitely have exciting content to look forward to.
