On January 1, 2025 (KST), OSEN reported that American actor Leonardo DiCaprio is “set to appear in Netflix’s mega-hit series, Squid Game Season 3.”
Mentioning lead actor Lee Jung Jae‘s interaction with Leonardo DiCaprio at the “LACMA Art+Film Gala” in 2021, the Korean news outlet alleged that DiCaprio, set to make a surprise appearance, had already completed filming his scenes and that the third season would be released in Summer 2025.
His screen time is said to be limited, and details about his character remain under wraps to avoid spoilers.

In response, the Squid Game production team dismissed the rumors. To Star News, Netflix denied DiCaprio’s involvement in the K-Drama, stating “The reports about Leonardo DiCaprio appearing in Squid Game Season 3 are baseless.”
Meanwhile, Netflix shared the official poster for Squid Game Season 3, simply “coming 2025.”
