While the song and its music video have garnered positive reactions from fans— with the video surpassing 15 million views within just over a day and the track debuting at #34 on the MelOn Daily Chart— this enthusiasm has not been reflected in the album’s physical sales.

The drop in sales for CRAZY is evident compared to their previous releases. LE SSERAFIM’s earlier albums saw a steady increase in numbers, with their debut FEARLESS selling 176,861 copies. Soon after, ANTIFRAGILE reached 408,833 copies, and UNFORGIVEN hit a peak of 1,024,034 copies.

Even though EASY didn’t peak higher, it sold 783,358 copies, which was pretty good compared to other top girl groups. In contrast, CRAZY sold only 195,264 copies on its first day, less than 25% of the first-day sales from their previous release.

This sharp decline has sparked concern among both fans and netizens.

Some fans speculate that the drop in sales may be due to technical issues with Hanteo, the chart responsible for tracking album sales, citing a freeze that lasted over six hours, potentially affecting the count.

Others suggest that shipping delays could be a factor, as the significant decrease in sales is unusual for a group of LE SSERAFIM’s popularity.

Additionally, there is speculation that the group’s previous live performances, including their appearance at Coachella and the live encore of their previous title track, EASY, may have influenced fans’ decisions. These performances were met with criticism, leading some to wonder if this affected the enthusiasm for purchasing the new album.
