Live Nation Taiwan Under Fire For Disrespectful Post Towards BLACKPINK
Live Nation Taiwan, an entertainment company in charge of organizing YG Entertainment girl group BLACKPINK‘s Taiwan concert, is under fire for their disrespectful post towards the girls
The four-member K-Pop group held a two-day concert in Kaohsiung City on the 18th and 19th of March. Before departing the country, Live Nation Taiwan posted an Instagram Story with their private planes encircled. Referencing the idols’ song “AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST,” they captioned it:
Walk yourself out
As if it’s your last.— Live Nation Taiwan
The controversial screenshot quickly spread online, with fans calling them out for being disrespectful. They have since deleted the post.
In an official statement released on March 22, the company apologized for the incident and added that they are looking into the matter. They believe that it may have been caused by the actions of a staff member who had access to their social media account, but they are also investigating the possibility of it being “maliciously fabricated.” They ended the statement by insisting that they “respect the artists and their team” and are thankful to BLACKPINK for their world-class performance.
Live Nation Taiwan’s statement regarding the controversy that arose from our Instagram Story:
As several of our staff members have posting rights, we started an internal investigation yesterday in order to understand whether the post was made by our internal staff. If the picture and post are found to be real, we will impose serious punishment. If the picture and post are found to be maliciously fabricated, we reserve the right to take legal action.
Live Nation Taiwan respects the artists and their team, and is grateful to them for bringing their world-class show to the fans in Taiwan. The excellent production and performance of BLACKPINK have established a new standard for K-Pop in Taiwan. We are also thankful for the constructive criticisms and suggestions from fans. We deeply apologize for giving fans and the general public a bad impression.

Netizens who saw the statement weren’t sympathetic, commenting that the organizers “really suck” and are “so disrespectful,” “not sincere at all,” and “ridiculous.” They also think that the staff member who uploaded the Instagram Story should apologize and be fired.
- Live Nation really sucks.
- Fire them, then. (laughs)
- Really? Then get the person to apologize once you find them. It’s a promise.
- Enough. So disrespectful.
- Not sincere at all.
- Hah so ridiculous.
