Byeon Woo Seok’s Previous Project Might Re-release Thanks To “Lovely Runner”
According to recent reports, actor Byeon Woo Seok’s explosive popularity after the K-Drama Lovely Runner has caused his former project to be considered for a re-release.
The distribution company NEW has confirmed that they are in discussions with theaters about re-releasing Byeon’s cinematic debut, Soulmate, soon. The movie was released in March last year and starred Kim Da Mi and Heon So Nee in the lead roles alongside Byeon.
After its release, the movie attracted positive attention worldwide, with 230,000 viewers recorded to have watched it in theaters. But a year after its release, the movie might be getting a second run at the box office, thanks to Byeon Woo Seok’s explosive popularity with Lovely Runner.
According to reports, the request to consider a re-release came from the theaters first to the distributors, which testifies to the exponentially increased public appeal of Byeon Woo Seok.
