MAMAMOO’s Hwasa Cleared Of Charges Related To “Obscene Performance” Controversy
They found it difficult to classify as a crime.
MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, charged with the controversy over her “obscene performance” at Sungkyunkwan Unversity in May, has been cleared. According to the police, they decided not to forward the complaint for public indecency as no charges were filed.
After investigating the contents of her performance and comprehensively reviewing the statements of Hwasa and officials, they decided it would be difficult to admit to criminal charges. At the time, the prosecution suspended the case, saying that although the gesture was questionable, the direct description of the act lasted only a few seconds during a two hour concert.
