On January 15, Dispatch released a shocking report exposing Park Min Young’s relationship with her controversial ex-boyfriend Kang Jong Hyun. In the article, the media outlet revealed that Park Min Young had received ₩250 million KRW (about $189,000 USD) from the alleged fraudster.
The news sparked widespread criticism over the nature of Park Min Young’s relationship with Kang Jong Hyun. Eventually, Park Min Young’s label, Hook Entertainment, released a statement in which it claimed that Kang Jong Hyun had used Park Min Young’s bank account and that the money wasn’t for the actress.
Hook Entertainment’s explanation sparked even more criticism, with many alleging that Park Min Young had aided Kang Jong Hyun in his alleged criminal ventures. Kang Jong Hyun is currently facing criminal allegations accusing him of embezzling millions of dollars.

Although the dip in ratings isn’t drastic, it is significant, considering this is the first time the K-Drama has lost viewers.
