Public Outrage Peaks As MBC Continues To Air The “Main Bully” Amid Heartbreaking Dispatch Interview

Following the heartbreaking Dispatch interview with the late MBC weathercaster Oh Yoanna‘s grieving mother, Koreans are fiercer than ever in demanding official punitive action from the broadcast channel.
On February 6, 2025 (KST), the bereaved sat down with Dispatch and revealed that the worst of the workplace bullying began when Oh Yoanna took over forecasting the news on News Today after “Weathercaster A.”
According to Dispatch’s timeline, Oh Yoanna started working at MBC in May 2021, replaced Weathercaster A on News Today in September 2021, and by the time her superior (who gave News Today to Oh Yoanna) left the weather team in March 2022, Oh Yoanna was expressing distress about the harassment.
Yoanna took over News Today instead of “Weathercaster A” after four months at MBC. That was the beginning.

Based on this information, and all of the weather forecasts uploaded to MBC’s weather YouTube channel @OneulBiwa since 2018, Koreans have done the detective work and now allege that Park Ha Myeong is Weathercaster A.
And when, even after the Dispatch interview, Park Ha Myeong continued to appear on air to report on the news, public outrage peaked.
In response to the February 7, 2025 (KST) morning forecast, news watchers are acting together and filing official complaints via MBC’s website. Making direct comparisons to the fictional character Park Yeon Jin from the K-Drama The Glory, news watchers even speculate a “connection” might be making MBC face the current situation with deafening silence to protect Park Ha Myeong.

As of now, weathercaster Kim Ga Young, said to have taken active part in the bullying, has been removed from her regular radio programming.
