Media Outlet Faces Backlash For Using NewJeans’ Minji For Media Play
With the recent resignation of former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin from ADOR and HYBE, a news article garnered attention for interpreting NewJeans Minji’s new profile picture as a “change of heart.”
On November 20, Minji changed her profile picture on the fan messaging platform Phoning. The photo showed her and national fencing player Kim Junho’s two sons.
Minji previously appeared on KBS’s The Return of Superman and revealed that she appeared on the show because she wanted to meet them.

However, in the Tenasia article, they felt that the change in the profile picture could have another meaning.
Although many people interpret Minji’s change in profile picture as being due to her interest in the children, some netizens say that it could reflect the change of heart, as it was changed on the day of Min Hee Jin’s resignation.
